  1. For years I kept seeing old irons in junk shops, I always fancied buying them but thought they were no good for anything but gathering dust so I never succumb until I finally saw these irons going cheap. I don't always bother to stretch my paper so I have finally found a use them, flattening my buckled water colour painting before I photograph it.

  2. I spotted this baby rabbit on the Farne Islands last summer, he was just so cute I had to include him in this painting for Seahouses & Amble Tourist Information shops . I have since learnt that the rabbit and puffin populations use the same burrows at different times, the puffins being strong enough (with a vicious bite) to evict the rabbits from the burrows during the nesting season. I knew I didn't like the look of those beaks!
